There’s nothing like spending summer vacation at Speyer! Our camp programs are committed to maintaining the same level of excellence for accelerated learners that is provided throughout the academic year. Speyer's summer line-up is designed to delight the curious, gifted mind. Creativity, ingenuity, and collaboration guide our program. All of our camps are fully staffed by our fabulous Speyer faculty. INspeyerED Summer Camps are open to children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.
REGISTRATION, INFORMATION, AND DETAILS
REGISTRATION
INspeyerED Summer Camp 2026 runs the weeks of June 15 and June 11. Please note there will be no camp on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Registration opens on Wednesday, April 29,at 10:00 AM on ACTIVE LINK and the button on your PARENT PORTAL. It closes Wednesday, May 13, at 3:00 PM.
CAMP DATES & HOURS
Camp runs for two weeks at the end of June, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
— Week 1: Monday, June 15 - Thursday, June 18 (no camp on Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth)
— Week 2: Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26
Campers enrolled in Early Arrival can be dropped off at 8:15 AM for an additional daily charge of $25. Families can sign up for Early Arrival when registering.
Camp dismissal is from 3:50 PM-4:00 PM. There is a five-minute grace period; after 4:05 PM, a $25 late pick-up fee will be charged through Active.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
The weekly cost for Summer Camp is $825 for Week 1* (four days) and $1,000 for Week 2 (five days). There is a $25 ACTIVE system registration fee per student. A discount is available to families who receive tuition assistance prior to registration. Those families will be provided a coupon code sent from Speyer on Monday, April 27to use when registering. Early Arrival services are $25/day and begin at 8:15 daily. Families can sign up for Early Arrival when registering.
*Please note: Chess Specialty Camp will take place during Week 1 and is $925.
REFUNDS, WITHDRAWALS, AND CANCELLATIONS
You may withdraw your child's registration until May 13, 2026 for a refund. A $50 fee will be applied to all cancellations. Refund requests must be made to inspeyeredregistration@speyerlegacyschool.org. No refunds will be issued after May 13th if a child is unable to attend camp.
WAITLIST
Programs fill on a first-come, first-served basis. Once camp reaches enrollment capacity, you may add your child to the waitlist at no charge.
ELECTIVES
Campers in all grades participate in electives. At the time of registration, families rank the electives in order of preference. Campers are guaranteed one of their top four choices. Electives are mixed age.
FINANCIAL AID DISCOUNT
Any families currently receiving a Financial Aid from the school will receive the same level of assistance up to a maximum discount of 50% for one week of camp. Financial assistance codes will be sent to eligible families on Monday, April 27.
HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
Programs strictly follow Speyer’s health and safety guidelines.

CODE OF CONDUCT
We reserve the right to remove a child because of behavior issues. There will be no refund in such cases.

INspeyerED Summer Camp
(Rising First Grade — Sixth Grade)
This camp is offered Week 1 and Week 2
Welcome to INspeyerED Summer Camp! Each day begins with a camp-wide, community-building assembly to set a positive tone and energize our campers for the exciting adventures ahead.
Every camper will engage in dedicated group time focused on hands-on projects that culminate in a meaningful showcase at the end of the week. These integrated projects combine art, literacy, math, critical thinking, and collaboration; fostering creativity and teamwork.
Choice and community are at the heart of the camp experience. In addition to project-based learning, campers will participate in mixed-age, student-selected elective classes. They will also enjoy specialist-led sessions in robotics and engineering, art, sports, and more!
Physical activity, curiosity-driven inquiry, and play are woven into every aspect of our camp experience, ensuring a fun, dynamic, and enriching environment for all campers.
To wrap up the week, we host a special assembly where each group proudly shares their completed projects. Following project presentations, campers enjoy camp-wide games and a memorable afternoon field trip either in the camp or at a local museum or park.

Lil’ Dragons Kindergarten Camp
This camp is offered Week 1 and Week 2
This is a very special kindergarten version of our INspeyerED Camp for rising kindergarteners! Campers enjoy the same classes as older INspeyerED campers, while also getting to meet special members of our Speyer community! It is a wonderful way for rising kindergarteners to get to know Speyer before the first day of school. The groups are smaller in size to provide extra support and nurturing to our youngest campers.

Specialty Camps
In addition to our General Camp for grades 1-6, we offer Specialty Camps for students looking to dive deeper into a specific interest! Each specialty track focuses on a unique content area daily while still allowing campers to enjoy electives and special activities. From Writing Workshop to Chess to Debate there's something for everyone. Grade eligibility varies by specialty, so be sure to check the descriptions for details. Give your child a summer of fun, learning, and exploration!
INspeyerED Chess Camp
(Rising First Grade — Eighth Grade)
This camp is offered Week 1
Explore the beauty of chess through the games of the masters and the games of the students. Chess Camp is an opportunity for chess players to extend their engagement in the chess process with two weeks of dynamic chess thinking, playing, studying, analyzing, and learning. This camp is open to campers who have participated in a minimum of nine tournaments during the school year (September through May).
The daily schedule includes a non-rated G/45 tournament game and features a guest International Master or Grandmaster to lecture and analyze campers’ games. Throughout the week, campers will build their own customized tactics packet to strengthen their chess toolbox. In addition to dedicated chess time, campers will attend two daily elective classes.
NOTE: Open to all USCF-ranked players in grades 1-8. Please input USCF 8-digit identification number and 4-digit ranking upon registration.

INspeyerED Young Writers Workshop
(Rising Fifth — Eighth Grades)
This camp is offered Week 1 and Week 2
Sharpen your writing skills this summer in our Young Writers Workshop, designed for rising fifth through eighth graders who want to strengthen their essay and expository writing while also exploring creative expression. Under the guidance of one of our own Middle School Humanities faculty, students will learn to craft clear, compelling essays, develop strong arguments, and organize ideas effectively. While the focus is on academic writing, campers will also engage in creative exercises to enhance their style and storytelling abilities. With a blend of structured lessons, interactive activities, and collaboration with peers, campers will gain confidence in their writing — all while having fun!

This camp is offered Week 1
Take your debate and public speaking skills to the next level! This dynamic camp helps students strengthen case structure, refine argumentation, and master rebuttal techniques. Through engaging drills, strategic challenges, and team debates, campers will sharpen their critical thinking and persuasive speaking skills. Guided by experienced debate coaches, students will analyze complex topics, build strong cases, and deliver compelling speeches. Whether you're a seasoned debater or just starting out, this camp builds confidence in a fun, fast-paced, and supportive environment. Get ready to think fast, speak clearly, and debate like a pro!

INspeyerED Assistant Counselor Program
(Rising Eighth Grade and Speyer Class of 2026 Graduates)
This is offered both Week 1 and Week 2
For rising eighth graders and recently graduated Speyer students, we’re excited to offer a dynamic and enriching hybrid opportunity! Each day, assistant counselors will collaborate with teachers in classrooms, supporting campers and gaining valuable hands-on teaching experience. In the afternoons, they’ll participate in Specialty Classes and Electives, carefully designed to keep the energy, fun, and learning going strong. The week concludes with a camp-wide assembly showcase and an afternoon field trip either in-camp or to a local museum, park, or art space. This unique experience strikes the perfect balance of responsibility, creativity, and adventure all week long!
Note: This program is limited in enrollment to 8 campers. The cost is $200 for Week 1 (4 days) and $225 for Week 2.
