Sophie Krupp Charitable Chess Festival 2025
Sunday, September 28, at Speyer School

The Inaugural Sophie Krupp Charitable Chess Festival will be held on Sunday, September 28, at Speyer School (925 Ninth Avenue at 59th Street in New York City). Join us for a full day of fun and social activities, including Rapid and Blitz tournaments, Grand Master appearances, simultaneous exhibitions, chess raffles, and more.

Proceeds from the Sophie Krupp Charitable Chess Festival will support Girls’ Chess in New York City. A portion of the proceeds will be set aside to help meritorious Speyer students attend the KCF All-Girls National Championship and the remainder will be used to maintain free local all-girls tournaments hosted by Chess in the Schools.

Event #1:
Morning Rapid Tournament:  3ss G/15+3. 
Players will be grouped into twelve 8-player sections based on rating. $50 entry fee.

Afternoon Blitz Tournament: 4ss G/5+3.
Players will be grouped into six 16-player sections based on rating. $50 entry fee.
