Speyer Students Interviewed for NBC’s SundayTODAY

In mid-December, a group of Speyer fourth and fifth graders trekked to the Museum of Jewish Heritage to see their new exhibit, "Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark.” This exhibit relays the details of the mass evacuation of Jews from Denmark to Sweden during World War II. Designed with the input of school children, the exhibit is age-appropriate and focuses on the bravery of individuals and members of society even during the harshest of times. The exhibit made a huge impact on Speyer's group. As part of their visit, our students were interviewed by a team from NBC National News — and last Sunday, they were featured in Harry Smith's "Sunday Spotlight" piece on Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist .
